The story is  about three generations of Brooks men who carry the legacy, traits, habits, and ideas of the previous generation. Generation X penetrates the humanistic fibers that are interwoven in everyone 's home. It also tells of a young man's (Xaxier Brooks') determination to find out who His real Father is and to locate him. it also depicts a son Micah Xaxier Brooks, 10 who displaces aggression to his father (Micah Xaxier Brooks, Sr.) because he was not there (or him, Xaxier does not know that his teal name is Micah Xaxier Brooks,III or whether his father is institutionalized, skipped town, or is just wondering in the shadow of some streets His mother Emma is stiff grieving and going through denial that her only other and youngest son Derick was fatally shot as a result or her having a gun in the house to be found and allegedly used by Micah Jr.  Micah Jr. Continues to admit to his innocence, yet, he continues to be doomed to a life of "ins and outs" with jail because of his vicious circle of violence and desire to join the gang.
